YoungstaCPT wins album of the year at the 2019 SAHHA 51

YoungstaCPT this year has seen him own the rap game in his own right, he finally got to release his highly anticipated debut album titled ‘3T’ which is an acronym to Things Take Time which was well received by both critics and fans.

The album is like a story that you wouldn’t want to miss and it’s that type of album that you’ll pass down to your kids when you grow old.

Apart from releasing his debut album, YoungstaCPT also got to work with AKA after planning it for years but their schedules didn’t allow them in the past but when they finally jumped on the recording booth together, nothing but fireworks in the form of ‘Main Ous’ came out that revolutionized the rap game as we know it, it was an instant hit record till this day.

2019 has most definitely been YoungstaCPT’s year as he also got to open up his apparel shop, Y?Gen Apparel which he set up in Cape Town selling his own merchandise that employs the youth and empowers the community.

There’s absolutely nothing YoungstaCPT can’t do for his community, he’s more like the South African Nipsey Hussle.

YoungstaCPT has by now become synonymous with Cape Town meaning you can’t talk about Cape Town without YoungstaCPT being topic of discussion at some point.

Taking it back to music though, YoungstaCPT dominated the just concluded 2019 South African Hip Hop Awards by scooping not one but two awards with one being the ‘Album of the Year’ with 3T while the other one being the ‘music video of the year’ with his ‘YVR’ hit record.

Together with Flame, they are the only artistes who won two awards on the same night.
