Emtee shocked the entire entertainment scene in South African and the entire world, not only in the music industry alone in August 2019 when he announced that he is no longer a part of Ambitiouz Entertainment.
Emtee has been the only loyal artiste who was left in the record label especially after A-Reece, Fifi Cooper, B3nchMarq and others left the record label a couple of years back.
Everybody knew Emtee was never going to leave Ambitiouz Entertainment and they already made peace with that, thus the news of him severing ties with them came as a shock to many.
Emtee speaking at MTV Base’s Behind The Label opened up and said that he has never had his trophies won when he was still under Ambitiouz Entertainment for more than 24 hours.
“I remember my first win was at the South African Hip Hop Awards. I was very happy and everyone was congratulating me while I had the award in my hand,” he said.
A couple of weeks back, Emtee reiterated that he wanted his awards back which he earned them via Twitter.
“The boss man then comes up behind and says, ‘Give me what’s mine’. When I checked, the award had my name on it.” he went on to add.

“I reached the point where it couldn’t go on any further. I have two kids and I can’t allow people who don’t even know me to dictate my life. My kids are going to look at me one day and ask why I didn’t stand up for myself.” Emtee continued.
Ambitiouz Entertainment CEO, Kgosi Mahumapelo said he was asked to be a part of the show but he declined altogether.
