SA Hip Hop rappers come together and trends on Twitter simultaneously 73

South African Hip Hop has come of age, not that it wasn’t one of the best genre currently in the country but thanks to the unprecedented move that has since seen almost every other mainstream rapper in the SA hip hop scene, we sure can’t help but say that indeed, hip hop in Mzansi has come of age.

A few hours ago, Nasty C and Emtee were on Instagram live going head to head with their music getting played against each other’s records.

After 15 rounds of deliberation from judges from 15 rounds, Nasty C got 8 points while Emtee scored 7 points with almost 15,000 people locked in on the live simultaneously making history while at it.

The Emtee, Nasty C songs battle in a way or two triggered a ripple effect that saw most rappers in the country feeling all the 30 slots on Twitter trends. This was of course after Tweezy called out for peace and togetherness in the SA hip hop scene hurrying the hatchet, putting aside the pride and coming together united by the love of South African Hip Hop.

“Until the end of Lockdown, I am “Spread Positive Vibes Tweezy” throughout. I’m kicking back and supporting peers from the SA Hip Hop Culture…I’d like to see us bury the pride amongst each other and come together like we did in 2014-2017” Tweezy tweeted.

Believe me, when I tell you, this is way so unprecedented that it has never happened before and most rappers are grateful, happy that the South African hip hop revolution is finally here, there’s no way that any South African can confidently say that he doesn’t appreciate SA hip hop right now.

Nasty C drops ‘There They Go’ music video and fans can’t keep calm

The best thing about the South African revolution is that the entire African continent knows that there is no other country on the continent that goes hard on rap music than SA.

Rappers from A-Reece, Cassper Nyovest, Nadia Nakia, Gemini Major, Shane Eagle, Da L.E.S, AKA, Nasty C, Kwesta, Teargas, Tweezy and so many more. What a good day for South Africa hip hop.

“What a beautiful day for SA hip hop. regardless of how you look at it!!! We at the top again!!! Shout out to Gemini and Tweezy!!! La spana gents.” Cassper Nyovest tweeted.
Nasty C also appreciated the love fans are giving out to hip hop.

“ON GOD! SA HIP HOP THANKS YOU GENTS! Gemini Major & Tweezy NOT ONLY FOR PRODUCING AND CARVING THE FxxK OUT OF IT, BUT ALSO FOR BRINGING IT BACK TO LIVE LIKE THIS!!!!! THE ENERGY IS TOOMUCH!!” Nasty C tweeted.
