Priddy Ugly breathes fire as his three albums gets removed from streaming platforms 54

Priddy Ugly is shocked beyond words and he’s even mad and rightfully so, the talented rapper who has pretty much owned the rap game in his own right and also took over the entertainment scene with authority with his numerous projects he put out independently with his wife, Bontle Modiselle and partner and band member of Rick Jade.

Priddy Ugly was signed to Ambitiouz Entertainment for years and at one given time he was loyal to the label even when other artistes were jumping ship, he stayed.

It was later revealed that he left the record label back in April and didn’t make any public announcement telling the world know about going independent and starting his own record label GAS which, he has since released his projects under.

Taking to social media, pissed off Priddy Ugly has pretty much said enough is enough after learning that three of his projects; ‘E.G.Y.P.T’, ‘E.G.Y.P.T DLX’ and his recent one ‘D.N.A(Da New Africa’ were removed from streaming services globally.

Priddy Ugly mentioned on series of tweets that the projects are not available on Apple Music and iTunes and he can’t have it.

Priddy went on to say that his projects got to be removed from the popular streaming services when he mentioned that his music has been doing well in 2019, he believes he knows who is behind it all the music politics that he is currently going through right now.

“THIS IS A PSA!! My projects- E.G.Y.P.T, E.G.Y.P.T DLX, D.N.A(Da New Africa) (Both uploaded personally Under GAS) Have all been removed from @AppleMusic & @iTunes

This is without provocation, without authorization & unbeknownst to us. A complaint has been filed!”

Priddy Ugly went on to explain how he suffered being on his previous record label where he was neglected and even his ideas thwarted whenever he had something and/or an idea to chime in for the benefit of not only him but other artistes under the label at the time.

“… I remember telling him I have ideas on how we can expand the creative landscape of the label, visually, via shows, marketing etc. Not only for me but for all the other artists & I was told to stay in my place & lane, I’m just an artist at the label, nothing more, & that he wasn’t there to make friends with me, & that it was all business. I treated it as business from that day onwards, & yet nothing was conducted in a professional or business-related manner.”

Priddy Ugly’s tell-all post read in part

Priddy Ugly left the record label in April 2018 since he felt disrespected as a man and also as a brand and decided to go Independent as an artiste under his GAS company.

Being his own boss, Priddy Ugly’s GAS went on to release six music videos and 3 projects entirely and completely on their own.

Priddy Ugly who -iterated that he is not one to discuss internal issues and situations but this situation is rather personal and hits home- recalls that his albums got removed from the streaming platform/s after he posted last week that he his music has been doing quite well.

Below is Priddy Ugly’s tell-all side of the story that saw his three well performing studio albums removed from streaming platform/s

I’ve genuinely been silent & trying to protect people who never cared to look out for me. I’ve kept quiet & withheld information related to my departure from that other label. I actually don’t have an issue with anyone who was a staff member there, but the CEO of that label always been a bitch niggah, on God. I remember telling him I have ideas on how we can expand the creative landscape of the label, visually, via shows, marketing etc. Not only for me but for all the other artists & I was told to stay in my place & lane, I’m just an artist at the label, nothing more, & that he wasn’t there to make friends with me, & that it was all business. I treated it as business from that day onwards, & yet nothing was conducted in a professional or business-related manner. From funds (THOUSANDS) being withheld, to never being able to reach him when needed, yet my partner who was involved in other business engagements with him, could get a response, answer, a meeting at any time it was requested or arranged.

This showed me the blatant disrespect that he had for me as a man & my brand.. I’ve pushed on my own ever since leaving them last year April, because of ALL the BREACHES in contract from the labels end. I kept quiet, didn’t do no interviews with anyone, because he agreed to let me leave provided I don’t involve the media, run to Twitter etc. I just wanted nothing to do with them, so I didn’t even fight for the money I was rightfully owed & frauded out of. I kept moving, picked myself up, & this year we dropped 6 music videos, 3 projects, all on our own. We definitely felt blocked (but we thought it may just be in our heads) because whoever we submitted to either never responded or told us it’s not the right sound etc. Even after getting payed agencies involved, so many PR personnel have not wanted to work with us.

Last week I posted Insta snaps with how well our music had been performing on line, a day later my albums start getting removed!?

I’m not one to discuss internal issues & situations, but this is very PERSONAL!!!! I’m not done…. I’m just letting it be known that this is WAR!! I’ve got receipts, screenshots, all the evidence I need. Let’s!!!! ????
