Cassper Nyovest has iterated that he has been and still is an independent artiste from the beginning and owns all of his master and there’s no time that he has been signed to a record label.
Addressing a tweet that was tweeted by @ApindaX who said that Cassper Nyovest has been signed throughout his career, Cassper Nyovest asked to user to stop distorting his history.
“You are lying. Don’t ever distort my history like that. I had a digital distribution deal with madlozi and it was administrated by universal through Kalawa. I have been independent all my career and I have owned my music from day 1!!! Now I have a partnership deal with Def Jam.” he tweeted.

Also addressing yet another tweet to talented musician Manu Worldstar(@Manu_WorldStar) who tweeted;
“Moral of the story. Independent isn’t for everyone. We can’t all be a “Chance” or “Nyovest”. And even with them, they signed deals but remained indie. But they will never tell you that. Lol. Study the game for yourself. Don’t get gassed by what-what,” Cassper Nyovest said that he didn’t sign any deal with anyone until recently with Def Jam Africa and he wasn’t marketed by them as Chance was.

“I didn’t sign any deal until now with Def Jam Africa. Chance was marketed by them I wasn’t and Don’t like your tone but it’s cool. Do your thing young man. Congrats on your hit song!!! I love it. Keep learning !!! Bless up. I’m out !!!” as he also commended the musician on his hit record #Nalingi.

Cassper Nyovest also corrected @ApindaX by addressing the fact that he has never been signed to Kalawa which many people perceive because their credentials appears on iTunes.
“I have been telling people my story. It’s not the first time I correct this myth. Even on my album there are no Kalawa credentials. They only appeared on iTunes cause it was the aggregator for madlozi. Once again. I have never been singled to Kalawa and I own all my masters.” he answered.
