We can’t overlook the fact that KiD X’s debut album ‘Thank Da King’ was well curated, well planned and perfectly executed, from the cover art of the album to the tracks inside.
On the that has 26 tracks on it did set a precedence as one of the few album/s that has over 20 records in one project and catering for everyone in the community making the album one of the most versatile, powerful albums Africa has ever put out.
The ‘Thank Da King’ album might be studied in Universities some day in the future because of the rich history and diverse musical background it has. KiD X worked with artistes from all over the continent by working with the Tanzanian songstress, Vanessa Mdee in one of the records in the project.
On his debut project, KiD X features ChianoSky on his ‘Aunty’ hit record and also featured the legendary Maskandi hitmakers Shwi Nomtekhala on ‘Mtan ‘Omuntu’ record together with Makwa who also produced the records.
Two records off the album; ‘Mtan ‘Omuntu’ and ‘Aunty’ which features Shwi Nomtekhala and ChianoSkyy respectively are officially certified Gold and KiD X is over the moon for his project getting the recognition it deserves.
The two records that are certified Gold have their own visuals(collectively having over 2.5 million views on YouTube alone) which are unique in a way that they tell unique stories that most of people usually go through in their lives especially the ‘Mtan ‘Omuntu’ visuals, you just have to watch the music videos if you haven’t already.
