This year’s South African Hip Hop Awards which was held at the Gold Reef City, in Johannesburg on Wednesday evening saw Boity stealing the show with her highly anticipated performance of her hit record ‘Wuz Dat’ and left many people yearning for more especially after she premiered the untitled unreleased record that the fans were feeling when she was performing it.
Kwesta was the leading artiste with many wins at the concluded South African hip hop awards after winning awards in six different categories with most of the awards coming via his hit record ‘Spirit’ that features Wale, the record crossed the borders to make such a milestone in the music industry in South Africa and am not only talking about the rap genre but all South African genres.
Here is the categories that Kwesta won at the just concluded annual South African Hip Hop Awards; Most Valuable Player, hustler of the year, best collabo courtesy of his hit record ‘Spirit’ which features Wale, best digital sales, best video, and song of the year award.
Nasty c won the Album of the Year award for his ‘Strings and Bling’ album while Moozlie won the award for Best Female award at this year’s award.
Cassper Nyovest went home with the ‘Milestone Award’ making him the first ever artiste to win the South African Hip-Hop Awards’ ‘Milestone Award’ four consecutive times. He won the category in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.
