Shane Eagle revolutionized how Independent artistes got perceived in the music industry, actually before him, there were not as many successful independent rappers as himself save for L-Tido who had been independent for the longest time ever but without a company behind him to push him forward.
Unlike L-Tido, Shane Eagle came up with a strategy that has seen many rappers emulating after him, he came up with a management company and called it Eagle Entertainment. The rapper has never disclosed who his partners are on the company but he is the co-founder and CEO of the company.
According to the official Eagle Entertainment’s website, the company has six decision-makers thus far with Shane Eagle being the Artiste/CEO, Nicole Black as the Art Director, Shooter Khumz as the Producer/composer, Sachin Aurakeasamy as the Photographer/Videographer, KK as the producer/composer, and Odidi Bukashe as the Sound Engineer.
Taking to social media, Shane Eagle together with his company, Eagle Entertainment announced that the parties have mutually agreed to part ways officially as of 1st February 2020 stating no reason/s for the split but maintaining that they are forever cordial with each other.
“On the 31st of August 2017, we became a family and shifted the entire South African music industry when the monstrous debut LP ‘Yellow’ was released. We did the same with ‘Never Grow Up’ and are currently on an exciting international run with ‘Dark Moon Flower'”. The official statement read in part taking us back to how Shane Eagle and Eagle Entertainment made a decision to conquer and dominate the South African music industry from releasing the award-winning project ‘Yellow’ back in 2017.
“As a result, we here at Eagle Entertainment care about the innovation of out artiste and CEO Shane Eagle, and would like to make it public that he is no longer under the same management from here onwards.” the statement continued.
No one knows the reason/s why Shane Eagle has decided to stop working with his company that he helped found and bring up from nothing and neither parties shared and/or gave hints on the reason behind his move.
As of now, it’s safe to say that Shane Eagle is somewhat a free agent and with his talent, it’s only a matter of time before major record labels come knocking on his door to offer lucrative recording deals.
Nobody knows Shane Eagle’s move, I guess we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds.
