Mi Casa celebrates hit song 'Mamela' going GOLD

Mi Casa is celebrating their latest offering dubbed ‘Mamela’ going gold in sales. The song is taken off their ‘We Made It’ studio album.

The group that comprises Mo-T, Dr. Duda and pianist, J’Something are grateful to the fans who have enabled them to be what they were born to be and that is; creating good, quality, timeless music that resonates with everyone who gets to listen to it.

Explaining the inspiration behind the successful hit record, J’Something talked about how

But what stood out about what J’Something had to say about the record is that it was written from a place of hurt and sincere heart to heart poured out from within him.

The opening first lines were written when he was in the hospital bed, in ICU for that matter.

J’Something explained himself giving out the inspiration of the song and how it came about on the recent social media update that he shared with the entire world. On the same update, he promised his wife –the most loved woman on earth according to her hubby– about their looming and pending, well-deserved trip together.

Words will never be able to capture what this moment means to me. I wrote this song in one of the hardest moments in my life.

The opening lines were written in ICU where 2moro was not guaranteed and all we had was the moment to live in and hope to allow us to dream about a getaway when all the darkness would subside.

When I recorded this song, I laid it down in one take. There and then I KNEW my heart and soul was in it and that we had managed to capture an emotion that was beautifully conveyed in the form of a song.

The fact that YOU all have found your own meaning in this song and have essentially made it the Gold selling record it is is such a blessing and way more than I ever could’ve asked for.

I know a lot of you have found light in this song and many of you have gone on a little ‘getaway’ because of this song. I know it’s been a sound track to many special moments and that’s all I wanted to leave with you …

We will die with nothing but memories and special moments so LIVE. I can’t believe that 10 years on we are here … at one of the most memorable moments of my career.
