“It is with much sadness and regret that I have to announce the postponement of our Jan 4th show in Khartoum, Sudan. I’ve never looked forward to a show more than this one. However, my sponsors don’t want to proceed with the show in light of the current political climate. I know there’s much more important things going on with the #SudanProtests so I don’t disagree with their decision, but I really wanted to give you guys a good time. A momentary escape. A night of joy, peace, comfort, laughter, and unity. I’m really upset we couldn’t make this happen. There is nowhere I’d rather be than with you in our motherland. Truly heartbroken over this one. I pray you all stay safe and I promise to reschedule as soon as we can.”
