The Megacy wins yet again and this time around, plaques are there to prove that indeed AKA’s album went platinum to the doubters out there.
Just a few days ago, AKA took to social media to celebrate his album ‘Touch My Blood’ going platinum and it was all merry and jubilation for the Supa Mega and the Megacy at large. However what you didn’t know though is that AKA was actually being humble because not only did his album go platinum, even some of his records off the album received some plaques.
AKA did not only receive plaques for his Touch My Blood album but for his records as well, Touch My Blood songs like ‘Fela in Versace’ went platinum while ‘Star Signs’ and ‘Beyonce’ went gold and AKA celebrated all this great achievement with friends and family.
“TOUCH MY BLOOD – PLATINUM 💿 FELA IN VERSACE PLATINUM 💿 BEYONCE GOLD 📀 STARSIGNS GOLD 📀 Thank You NYCE ENTERTAINMENT!! Thank You MEGACY!!! Thank You GOD 🙏🏼 DID 100% BLACK OWNED AND INDEPENDENT! GOD IS THE GREATEST!!! ❤️” he said via Instagram.
Celebrating the milestone in his success, AKA had his mother, Lynn Forbes, Dj Zinhle, Mpilo Shabangu, and Pearl Thusi in attendance as he congratulated himself by hosting a party to celebrate his success.
