AKA and Burna Boy has come a long way and they have been friends for years and late last year, their friendship seemed to be skating on thin ice after the two music bigwigs went head to head over xenophobic attacks.
There were some fans on Twitter who assumed that AKA would rejoice after Burna Boy lost Grammy Awards’ win to Angélique Kidjo, AKA was not amused.

AKA made his stand known that he still considers Burna Boy to be one of the greatest artistes from Africa to ever graced the international music scene with and through his music which saw his album ‘African Giant’ get nominated at the Grammys which on its own is an achievement already.
“I never hated Burna Boy. All I did was stand up for my country. I think it’s time to move past this narrative. It’s tired. Like I said, even a nomination is a huge achievement.” AKA answered one tweep who has since deleted his tweet.
